"Expecting the world to treat you fairly because you are good is like expecting the bull not to charge because you are a vegetarian." ~ Dennis Wholey (1937-)

Well folk, it's been QUITE the year thus far hasn't it? All the conundrum and folly my mothering has ensued over these last few months is a testament to the nervous break down I'm about to have..... On a FABULOUS note, my flooring is now finished.(Thanks to the best friends a couple could have) and I had a little snipit published in 'Today's Parent' magazine (insert applause here). Let's see what else has been going on...I cut off my hair, yet again, and R is doing amazing@ school despite a horrendous bout of Autism fury in January. B is not fairing as well however; and I'm getting concerned about him on every level of dysfunction. Socially, academically and in regards to basic life skills. B has Aspergers and so his needs don't always show themselves as obviously as R's.
I'm considering Home Schooling him next year for grade 5. Not sure........Thinking.
Captain no~fun (Darling Husband) is working up on the oil rigs doing some servicing and so that's giving me the ability to stay home and teach only on Saturdays. That would give me plenty of time to devote to tweeking and pruning the little lad.
Other than that...I'm feeling a bit creative these days and have found a new hobby! Ready for it? ...(Painting,writing and hunting for the cheapest wine with the highest alcohol content! I'm preparing a list to blog soon!

Gotta run, CNF (Captain No fun) and R have returned from the hardware store.

And now for your listening pleasure and a little comedic relief.....(A )singing and I laughing hysterically. Please press PLAY above!

  1. Oh this is priceless! She puts everything into it!

I am homeschooling grade 5 (and grade 1 and grade 8...and preschool probably since my 2 year old thinks so) next year though not autism, however I had a friend who homeschools who will aslo be homeschooling grade 5 and her son has Aspergers. Let me know if you want to chat with her. Some school boards offer support too.

Sounds busy and productive, good for you!
